OOC: Yes! I did read your profile. No prob. I do it to try to figure out how to start the conversation.

“Of course”, said Pilar, “please sit.” She pointed to an empty chair. “So welcome to the Challenger. I am sure you are mostly familiar with Starfleet rules being from a Starfleet family.”
She looked at her tablet briefly and said, “You lost your adopted father a few years ago. Didn’t you? Do you mind telling me a little bit about your father and the type of man he was? Also what your life was like growing up with him?”

“He was a great man. Very family oriented, he refused to take assignments if we couldn’t join him on the ship. He was also a great mentor for me when I was young. He was always telling me to follow my dreams. He was awesome as a dad too, always doing cool stuff with me. One time we were on shore leave and we built a model Apollo 11 rocket together. He also let me watch him work sometimes.”

George was clearly venting a lot of the depression his bio talked about. “The last thing my father ever said to me was that he was proud of me, and then he reminded me one last time to follow my dreams.”
