Cadet Baptiste had been the main doctor treating Morton since he was rescued from certain death. Pilar wanted to check in with the doctor and see how he was holding up and to compliment the doctor on his excellent work. Also she’d heard that he was to be assigned to another ship and was also getting a promotion. This eas also the perfect opporunity to make admends with the man since their first encounter had not been…ideal.

Halcyone, Counselor

Cadet Johnathan Baptiste sighed heavily as the desk chime went off notifying him that he needed to head to his final clearance exam with Counselor Halcyone. He had been busy these last few days with wrapping up his medical reports on Ensign Morton, who was progressing quite well. His other patient, NE Caiden was completely healed and ready for rehab on his arm. NE Caiden should return to duty within a month, if rehab went well. He made his way to the counselor’s office and rang the chime.

“Come in, Doctor!” said Pilar as she shuffled around different PaDDs, stacking and moving them to the side on her desk. After quickly rearranging the PaDDs, she picked up one, stood from her chair, and moved to a small circular table accompanied by two modern-looking chairs. After placing the PaDD on the table she pulled out one of the chairs and sat as she waited for the doctor to enter the room.

Cadet Baptiste stepped into Counselor Halcyones office, more like a lair he thought to himself. Cadet Johnathan Baptiste reporting for my check out counseling session, Sir.” He made sure to say sir, as he did not want another dressing down from the counselor.

OCC: It has been a pleasure simming with you, and I personally have no issues with you; just playing in character with my character. A brand spanking new Cadet, reminds me of my days from boot camp in the Army, got more than my fair share of dressing downs. Hope to interact with you in the future. ?

“Please have a seat, Doctor”, she said motioning to the empty chair. “Can I get you anything before we start our conversation?”

“This meeting is informal. You are not here because I am evaluating you in any way. I dont think our first encounter went well and you may have thought I was reprimanding you for not using the correct terminology and so forth, which I was but I wanted to apologize for not recognizing your efforts to get NC Clean out of my hair.
I was so irritated with that man and I took it out on you. Hopefully you can leave this ship knowing I think highly of you and that I appreciate all the work you have done while you were here?”
She clasped her hands together and said, “So I assume you have wrapped up all your affairs on this ship. Including the care of Morton. I bet you never thought when you joined Starfleet you’d be treating a man who almost disappeared from this universe, huh?”
