“Oh, yes, sir. Well, that’s about it. I administered some fluids and electrolytes. Oh, and I thought we’d try a Physiostimulator since it elevates metabolic function. Otherwise, you’d have to titrate Benzdiplopenchloride over a few days. It was selfish on my part, if I’m being honest. I’m anxious to get my residency going and that wasn’t going to happen if my CMO was laid up in a biobed.” Nate took another deep draw off the Guinness. *Darn replicators do a fine job. Hmm, wonder if this is the real stuff? Probably not.
“Say, this stuff is really good. This stuff replicated or the real deal?” Nate asked holding his glass up and then draining it’s contents in a third gulp.
Alex took in the newly arrived dishes as they were plonked down on the table one after the other. He savoured the various scents as each dish slid past him, his mouth watering as he realized it had actually been quite a while since he’d eaten anything more substantional than a hurried sandwich. After waiting a beat to make sure everyone knew he wasn’t drinking as part of the game, he downed the rest of his pint in a couple of smooth pulls and managed to catch the waitress before she left.

“May I have a Lagavulin too please Miss, neat.” He asked, the warmth of his smile for the watress aided and abetted by the pleasant glow already spreading from the beer downed slightly too quickly on an empty stomach.

Cadet Alex McCall, MD

“Well I haven’t,” Daphne said. “And for the record Nate here,” she broke off a crab claw and pointed at Holcomb, “didn’t either. He just came in at the right time. I mean I was strapped to the table and moaning so if he does having perfect timing down between that and catching me when I fell.”

Lt. Daphne Frankenstein CMO

Henry’s eyes widened, though his mouth stayed shut except to allow entry for a stolen bit of fried chicken. He was quite glad he’d been called over, as the CMO was giving him a time and a half of interesting stories.

“Right, no that was all Blake’s goof.” Nate took a bite out of the perfectly seasoned, savory lamb ribs. Whoa, these are awesome. “Oh, yeah, my turn, I guess. Ummmm, let’s see. Uh, never have I ever . . . uh . . . .” Come on Nate, think of something. “Oh, okay. Never have I ever skinny tipped in the fountain in front of the Academy,” Nate asked knowing it was a fairly common tradition. Nate immediately lifted the glass of red wine Dr. Frankenstein had tried to return and took a generous drink.

OOC: Fantastic post lol, I laughed with Holcombs question in the drinking game lol

“Oh pulling out the big guns,” Daphne laughed.

“Thank you Miss,” said Alex to the waitress as she set down his new drink in front of him.

“Okay so everyone had better get those glasses up.” Picking up her drink, Daphne downed it and set the glass down with a clink.

He lifted the tumbler and took a moment to savour the deep smoky scent of the whiskey, with just a hint of spice and vanilla notes. He paused for just a second and glanced around the group now crammed in around the table.

“It’s been at least a decade since I played this game, so we drink when we have done something or when we haven’t? I always get confused on that one.”

Cadet Alex McCall, MD

“A decade,” Daphne looked at McCall like he had grown several heads. “You did go to a regular school first? Regular in that they can’t make you scrub the toilets or do push up until your arms give out and you face plant the mud for having a beer so how could you not have played this game?”

Daphne Frankenstien CMO

Alex pretended to peer down his nose at Daphne through a non-existent pair of horn rimmed glasses, the type usually seen attached to a chain around the neck of that overly fussy librarian that is a bit too eager with the sushing….

“Well Chief, some of us went to medical schools that taught the theoretical side of chemistry and biology, not just the practical applications…”

He raised his glass in mock salute before tossing back the remainder of his drink and signally to the waitress for another set of drink all round.

Cadet Alex McCall, MD

“It is called sympathy pain,” she fired back a stern look before falling into a fit of laughter. It was a fool’s attempt to try and imitate Alex’s good-natured teasing with a fake firm tone of her own. There was nothing serious about being buck naked in the main fountain at the academy. It was why his look was so funny and added to the mirth at the table. “Okay,” she dropped her fake stern tone and ran a finger around the lip of her glass, “but it was sympathy pain. I was doing my orthopedics round and was assigned the cross country team. I kept telling them that with training came some discomfort. As you can well see,” she gestured to her body, “I am not a skier so they suggested I come to see them compete. It was a meet against the Andorian medical university which we won but had me leaping like some crazed squirrel in and out of bushes as I followed them on the meet path through the woods. I was so freaking stiff after then said to come with them to celebrate the win which I did rather too vigorous as evidenced by my participation in the swim at the fountain.” Taking a sip she eyed McCall.

“You just drank though so pony up with your story. You weren’t always a spit and polished ER doc at a prestigious hospital in Scotland.” Her eyes scanned the table at all the other officers sitting around it.

“Oh come on guys. Stadi, Rodier....Graaaaaysoooon,” she drew the captain’s name out. “You all can’t tell me you never did anything crazy at the academy especially you Rhodes. Didn’t you go through the academy with Captain Fantastic and his kamikaze sidekick? What didn’t that duo do or rope others into.”

Lt. Daphne Frankenstien CMO

“Oh them” Gray emphasized the name of the two well known pair of infamous ex-Cadets. “No, I was like, four or five years ahead of them, I never saw them,” but I heard about them, who didn’t? flashed through his mind as he took as drink of his whiskey.

“I may have done the Fountain Frenzy once, or twice.” Grayson started to tell a much shortened and redacted version of events. “The first time was part of a dare that my team lost. Boring stuff, a standard orientation course that turned into a contest between the Vulcan team and us Humans. Never, ever compete in orienteering against Vulcans, if you learn one thing on my ship, learn that. Haven’t got a fun bone in their body and never stop to admire the view.” Now Grayson chuckled. “Ah, we lost the bet but it was worth it.”

“Second time, was when I was tutoring at the Academy,” Grayson twitched at the lips here and looked at Daphne. “Bet you never saw any of the course tutors do the dip, eh? Mostly you probably don’t want to either, can you imagine Hornsby doing it?” Horrible Hornsby was one of the Fitness and Hand to Hand combat instructors at the Academy, and he was probably about the same age as most of the buildings there, and as sturdy. Wiry and all muscle, he could give any Federation Marine a run for their money and likely make them cry on the bus home to mama with his insults.

“We had a wild weekend, Anarchy Weekend, we called it. No rules, no citations, but a heck of a lot of Klingon Herpes for weeks afterwards. Worth it again,” he grinned.

“Okay, My Turn. Never have I ever ordered from the Secret Menu at a Klingon restaurant.” Grayson raised his glass and took a drink, looking at each of the participants in turn. Few people believed in Secret Menu’s, most denied they existed. This would give him deep insight into each person here.
