The turbolift doors hissed open to a still pressurized area of deck eight and Kalos quickly met NE Tender at the docking hatch airlock.
=^=Onovren to Stadi, I have arrived on deck 8 with NE Tender, we are ready to cut main power and we are suiting up for our walk.=^=
After hearing his EV suit’s helmet latch Kalos turned to Tender, “you ready?”

OOC: Is it My responsibility to write the scene with the NE or do I wait for the GM to do that?

OOC: Typically we let the person who made the NE take control of them, and in this case the GM will probably use him to guide what you encounter (ex: NE Tender will probably do a scan and tell you what needs fixing, etc..). Feel free to RP with him or write about coming up on the scene, but the GM will fill in the blanks for you of what encounter.

OOC: Yep typical etiquette with NE’s is that you don’t take over someone else’s NE (especially named NE’s), unless it’s directly stated that you can etc. Of course with an NE that is just ‘Science NE’ or ‘Ops NE’ they are usually able to be used any time, you’ll get the feel for it. With our GM away for a few more days on LOA as he is ill you can post about what your character starts to do, and in this specific situation one of the Command team can take over that NE to keep the sim going (like I am about to).

IC: “As ready as I’ll ever be,” Tender replied, triple checking his own suit and making sure the oxygen meter was in the green. Bouncing lightly in the mag boots he was wearing, he nodded to the door. “After you?” Moving to the control on the wall, Tender prepared to open it and expose the both of them to the vacuum of space at Kalos’ word.

NE Tender

Nodding to Tender to open the hatch Kalos started, “you have been here longer than I have, what’s the quickest way to get into the subspace systems control room?”
as soon as the door was opened Kalos activated his mag boots and picked up the repair kit. “Good lord” Kalos mumbled under his breath as the full extent of the damage sunk in, beyond what normally would have been an internal corridor buried deep in the engineering section, Kalos could see the stars.

The older ensign chuckled inside his space suit. “Normally I would say around the corner and to the left but that would take you into space. I think we are going to need to access the Jefferies Tube up the hall and crawl into the control room.”

Refocusing himself Kalos turned to Tender who seemed equally stunned, “We need to get moving, it sounds like the captain needs transporters and soon.”

Moving towards the subspace field control room Kalos noticed that everything was coated in a fine powder and there were small fist-sized chunks of asteroid littering what was left of the corridor.

=^=Kalos to bridge, Tender and I are on our war to subspace control. However, the material composition of the asteroids seem to be made of a relatively soft material as the corridor here is covered in a fine powder. I don’t know if the powderization was caused by the shields the hull or even an explosive reaction caused by contact with charged particles as it tore through the power grid in this section. would you like me to collect a sample while we are out here for science to analyze?=^=

-Kalos Onovren Engineer

Tender nodded and worked his way forward with Kalos, pushing debris out of his way as he worked. Dark and without gravity this part of the ship was dangerous and ghost town like. Most everyone seemed to have escaped this deck, or at least there weren’t floating body parts around. While the engineer spoke with science he made his way towards the tube entrance and opened the manual release. “Whenever you’re ready cadet.”

GM Wobat

“Wait!” Kalos yelled stopping Tender from opening the tube access. “The section beyond is still pressurized there is a massive pressure differential and because there is no airlock it will violently decompress if you open it. We have to vent it slowly.” pressing a contact next to the tube access there was a soft ping and then a rushing of air.
“That should do it” Kalos said gesturing to Tender to open the hatch.
