I’ve passed on the details to the sickbay staff who are at Main Engineering and Environmental Controls. If they get any new information from the patients they’re treating, I’ll feed it back to you immediately and if I find out anything, you’ll be the first to know, sir. =^=

Henry closed his eyes for a few moments after receiving Foley’s request, a common practice of his to help him think - in this case about his officers’ locations. As he opened them, he tapped his comm. =^= Rodier to Foley. We’re stretched with the response to engineering and sickbay, but I can maintain a team rotation between every other deck. Where do you want me, sir? =^=

Katelyn gave a quick nod to Foley. “Keeping the crew out of the way while we try to figure out what’s going on is a win in my book,” she commented. “We really need to figure out if it was from fresh ingredients or the replicator first. Thoughts?”

Aaron nodded as he tapped his commbadge. =^=Understood Lieutenant. This is not a strict quarantine, we are just wanting to limit movement of unnecessary personnel around the ship while we try to figure out what happened. For now head down to sickbay. We are looking at some potentially contaminated grapok sauce. Two confirmed cases are in sickbay, and we need some help discovering the origins of the sauce. =^=

“My gut instinct says fresh Captain. Unless the replicators have been compromised, it is nearly impossible to introduce a contagion into their systems. It is much more likely that someone brought it on board with them.”

To report our immediate situation, we have teleported most of the rioters from Engineering to Auxiliary Cargo Bay to eliminate the possibility of them damaging any critical equipment and turned off the artificial gravity in the Auxiliary Cargo Bay to make it more difficult for them to engage in undesirable behavior. =^= Katie glanced over at Stadi and took his expression to mean she should slow down and take another breath. =^= We are working on assessing the status of the Engineering personnel at this time. If we could safely relocate, we would be able to complete our assessment more quickly. =^=

Katelyn listened silently to the exchange between the XO and the various officers on the ship. It was a skill that she’d had to spend a lot of time honing over the years, as her instinct was first to do things herself and, if that wasn’t going to work, to be as directly involved as possible. The Challenger was going to be an interesting test of just how well she’d learned those lessons over her career; her role at Starfleet Command had allowed her much freedom to stick her nose into problems as much as she would like, but now, the focus was on her as a role model for the young leaders below her.

=^= Ven to Bridge. We may have identified a potential cause of the illness, Captain, but we won’t know for sure until we can test the grapok sauce that seems to be at the heart of this outbreak.
