At the appointed time the Challenger dropped out of warp and under impulse proceeded towards the science station and the rendezvous with the commander there, intent on delivering the cargo.

Turning back over his shoulder, the helm officer announces to the watch officer, “Sir. We have arrived.”

Gordon, who had the watch, looked up from a report that he was reading.

“Thank you. Standard orbit helm.” He ordered, looking down at his computer station. He sent a message to the Captain and XO, indicating their arrival. He stood up and hobbled towards the view screen. “Open a channel.”

Starr had been told about the mysterious box that they had been told to deliver. He wasn’t a big fan of surprises, but as it was something that was connected to star fleet, he couldn’t see any danger with it. He continued looking at the tactical station. The trip so far had been a peaceful one and it was now almost over.

Cadet Simon Starr, Security

The Counselor made his way onto the bridge and stood quietly to the side, watching what transpired and seeing how people reacted to the ‘mysterious box’ he had heard people gossiping about.

After a moment the warm and kind face of the station commander popped up on the screen. “Oh Challenger! You are here,” the man says bubbling over with excitement. “We have a reception planned for you all, if you want to come over! Bring your cadets. Oh and have them dress nicely, hmm?” He titters like a busy bee, “Oh and have the box delivered to cargo bay one. My men will take it from there.”

Surra interjected, “Sir....we would like to know what is in the box or what it is for.”

“Indeed,” Max said stepping onto the bridge. He was a bit irked that he hadn’t been called as soon as they arrived at the starbase.

“Sir, when would you like us to have our Cadets at the reception?” Moving around the bridge he stepped down to the center.
