“Welcome, Cadet.” Henry said with a smile as Jordy entered the holodeck. “Welcome to Holodeck One. I’m sure you’ve been in similar places before, but here I’ve been working with some other cadets to create a customized program. Have you done holodeck simulations at all? Outside of the required Academy coursework, I mean.”

Jordy replied. ‘No i have not i think i will today because im here now.’

Cadet Jordy Kleine - Security

“Indeed. Now, then. Computer, begin program Beta Nine Five.” After a moment the computer responded: “Beta Nine Five, access granted to Rodier, Henry. Beginning program.”

Around the two men the walls began to sparkle and then completely disappear, replaced by a small room with a weapons rack in one corner and three hallways leading in different directions. The walls were a white plastic with regularly placed strips of some metallic substance with lights embedded in each; what looked like a burn mark could be seen part of the way down one of the hallways. Upon the weapons rack sat two Type II Personal Phasers. “Both locked to stun, of course,” Henry added as he stepped over to the rack.

Jordy went in the holodeck and asked.’What are we gonna do here.’ He went to the phasers and looked at them.

Cadet Jordy Kleine - Security

OOC: So sorry for the delayed response!

IC:
“Oh, some combat training, with a few twists of my own design.” Henry donned a mock-cunning grin, picking up one of the phasers. “Based loosely on a recent experience of mine, actually. Are you well-practiced in ground combat?”

Jordy replied. ‘Not realy.’

OOC: Bumping this up now that we both seem to be active again! You can also hop in on the Main Sim now as the approaching cadet now.

IC:
Henry looked mildly surprised. “Really? A bit unusual, but we’ll fix that. Here,” he handed the Cadet one of the phasers, “take this, and we’ll get started. The idea is that we’re both responding to an intruder alert called by an officer on this deck, who then went dark. Ready?”

“Ready”.

Henry grinned. “Then go!” he said excitedly, starting at a fast walk down the rightmost hallway, phaser held at his side, until he reached the corner and peaked around.

Jordy wallked to the Chief with his phaser ready Jordy whisperd. ‘You see Anyone Sir?’

“Not ‘anyone,’ no,” Henry replied with a small smile. The hallway before them was noticeably damaged than the one they had just walked through; one of the lights was burned out, and a wall panel was pulled back slightly from its fasteners. After clearing the hallway, the Chief took off at a run toward the nearest corner, rounded it, and kept going.

Jordy looked at the hallway and when the chief started to run he followed the chief. ‘Where are we going to sir.’ He said.

Cadet Jordy Kleine - Security

“I’m looking for any disturbances, so I guess where those are is where we’re going.” A tuft of what appeared to be fur was visible on the ground, ensnared by a loose floor panel. Henry paused for a moment. “It might make more sense to split up. You continue down that way,” he pointed down the hallway, “and I’ll check through here.” With that, the Chief disappeared through a door to his right.

OOC: Can i decide if something happens when i want to.
IC: Jordy wallked to the left door wallking trough it looking for disturbances.

Cadet Jordy Kleine - Security

OOC: Little things, sure. But with this little mystery side-sim it’s better for you to say what you’re doing, looking for, stuff like that, and then be told what happens. If you want to make a side-sim yourself, then you can decide anything that happens involving your character!

IC:
Jordy entered into a dimly lit room with a biobed in one corner. One wall panel was pulled out, and some sort of small tunnel had been dug through the wiring. Another tuft of fur was visible caught on one of the wires. There was a door next to the broken panel, slightly ajar.

Henry almost tripped over a table laying across the floor of the hallway he had entered, but continued on, rounding another corner.

He looked at the small tunnel, when he sees the door he goes through it.

Cadet Jordy Kleine - Security

Going through the door, Jordy came upon another, much smaller room, most likely a maintenance closet. A bundle of something furry was perched atop a shelf, and behind it was another pulled-out wall panel and tunnel of wiring.

Henry slowed, entering a room. It was similar in size to his quarters, and indeed shared many of the same furnishings. An ambassador’s suite, most likely. Curious, but not nearly as curious as the door on one wall being held open by some unseen object.

Jordy looked aroud he room and saw another tunnel of wiring on a shelf. ‘What is this.’ He also sees a bundle of something furry in front of the tunnel. =^=Cadet Kleine to Lieutenant Junior Grade Rodier im seeing a tunnel of wiring i also saw it in an another room and i see a bundle of something furry in front of the tunnel of wiring have you seen something like this to?=^=

As Jordy spoke, the bundle of fur seemed to rise slightly off the shelf and crawl into the tunnel, disappearing. =^= Rodier to Kleine, I’m not seeing any tunnels but I do have one of those bundles here. It seems to be some sort of organism. Try to find where they’re coming from. =^=

Upon closer inspection, Jordy would find two maintenance tunnels entering into the room: one to the left of the shelf, and one on the wall next to the door.

Henry looked down at the ball of fluff blocking the door and smiled. He’d have to remember to give those cadets from Engineering a good word.
