“Oh, he certainly has a hot tub!” Miya chuckled at the memories. “In fact, it was used for the last graduation ceremony. That was a surprise, let me tell you! I’ll admit, I never thought people might graduate in their swimsuits.” Not that everyone had - but seeing many of the senior staff in their swimsuits had added another level of informality and enjoyment to the event, Miya thought.

Glancing again at her PADD, she added, “I’m glad you like the Challenger. I felt at home here very quickly - I hope you do too. Okay, scan’s finished! You can sit up, if you want, while I run through these results.” She gave the newcomer a quick smile. “I see from your records you’re a security officer. What are you looking forward to most about being aboard?”

Jordy sat up and replied. ‘I look forward to learn the things a starfleet security officer does.’

“Well, I’m sure Lieutenant Rodier will help you with that aim.” Miya put aside the mental image of Lt Rodier in his swimming gear - something she returned to several times a day - and made a final notation on her PADD. “That’s it, Jordy! Your medical check-in is complete; we now have a baseline for your health while you’re aboard and I’ve updated your records. You can get down now.” As she turned aside to power down the biobed’s diagnostics, she added, “So are we your last check-in or do you still have to meet Counsellor Lofton?”

(OOC: although your check-in threads are taking place at the same time in real life, they’ll be happening consecutively aboard ship, of course! Miya knows cadets normally check in with their department heads first. It’s up to you whether Jordy has gone to Sickbay or the counsellor first. It’s been fun RPing with you - thanks for taking part!)
