Zachary had been hopeful he would make good time getting through his required check ins; thus far he had had no issues navigating the corridors of the ship and had felt particularly pleased with how his day was going. Something about knowing where he was needed and the structured nature of it all appealed to him. He’d felt much the same about the Academy and was happy that the feeling continued now in his new position aboard the USS Challenger; or presumably would, assuming all went well with his onboarding.

No point in worrying too much about it though, he thought. Either it turns out or it doesn’t, so they say.

He managed to find his way to the Counselor’s office in reasonable time and took a minute to straighten his uniform before he reached out to chime the door to request entrance.
