Jordy was done with the check in at his department head, and wend to Counselor Lofton’s office, when he arived he ringed the bell

The doors opened with a swish to reveal a large L-shaped sectional sofa upholstered in blue. Above the couch, on a darker blue wall, was a painting of a human couple - a man in a tuxedo, a barefoot woman in a red evening gown - dancing on a wet beach, while attendants held umbrellas nearby and clutched headgear against a wind.

Vanessa stood from her desk in the far corner of the room, smiling brightly. “Ah, hello! You must be Jordy.” She approached him, hand extended. “I’m Lieutenant Commander Lofton, the ship’s counselor; but please, call me Vanessa in here.” She gestured toward the seating area. “Please, have a seat! Would you like something to drink?” she asked, walking toward the replicator near her desk.

OOC: Hi Jordy! In the counselor thread we will try to delve into your character’s backstory, motivations, and desires. My character will be asking yours a lot of questions, but don’t be afraid to tell us what he is thinking, not just his answer. This is a great time to really develop the character!

Vanessa nodded, and ordered a water and a hot chocolate from the replicator. She carried them over, handing the water to Jordy before seating herself on the couch. “This is a simple getting to know you session,” she began with a smile. “Nothing formal, just a way for me to learn about you and how we can help you while aboard the Challenger.”

She took a sip of her hot chocolate and hummed. “So let’s start simple. What do you like to do for fun? Do you have any hobbies?”

OOC: Don’t forget to use quotation marks to denote what your character is saying. It can sometimes be hard to read without them. Your post with them, for example, would have been:

Jordy sat down and said “I would like some water.”

That way, if there is anything after the spoken words, it’s much clearer what is being spoken and what is not.
