Main Sim - Holodeck

<snip>As if response to Henry’s thoughts, a voice began to be heard coming from the security cadet’s comm.
=^= NE Trinneer to Rodier, sorry about the wait, had some recent departures in the department, slowed us down a bit. But don’t you fret, I’m on the other side of the door now. Seems to not be responding, is that how it is on your end?=^=
The fair haired engineer began to set down his toolkit on the other side of the bulkhead, opened his tricorder and began a scan to help identify where he needed to look.

”=^= Rodier to NE Trinneer, that’s an affirmative. Doors aren’t responding. Neither are the holodeck programs. =^=” Setting WantsToGolf’s leg gently down onto the floor, Henry looked towards the door. While he didn’t expect a giant hammer to suddenly bust it open, he didn’t really know what the engineer was planning on doing on the other side of that sheet of metal.

Trinneer’s scans revealed that there seemed to be something interfering with the holodeck’s physical components. It almost seemed as though the system was being… shorted? out.

NE Trinneer looked down at his tricorder as he listened to the cadet over the comm. =^= Understood Cadet, I’m going to see about getting these doors open for you and your team. I heard something about tribbles being in there with you? Looks to me the critters may have caused some shorts in the system. Probably nibbling at what they ain’t supposed to. Can you get the holodeck’s arch to appear and access any terminals? I’ll be on my end doing the same putting eyes on what damage I can. =^=
The NE removed one of the outer panels in the hall’s bulkhead, exposing some of the circuitry of the holodeck wall mounted controls. Tricorder still in hand, he went about identifying any of the connections that were causing the power to short through the system. He kept an eye out for any parts that needed replacing, and had some spare ODN relays and cables along with a hyperspanner organized atop his open toolkit in case some on the spot replacements needed to be made.

The issue quickly presented itself to a skilled engineer like Trinneer… two pieces of cable that belonged together currently… were not. They appeared to have been separated by a small animal’s chewing.

Henry stood still, and said an audible “uhhh…” to himself. “=^= That’s… going to be a negative, Trinneer. The terminals are accessible, but they aren’t working properly. =^=” He didn’t address the holodeck’s arch.

=^= I hear ya, just sit tight for one hot minute, I think I see where these pesky furballs got you.=^= NE Trinneer replied as he extended his front half into the panels deeper into the bulkhead. He quickly isolated power from the junction he saw that had the tribble bite marks on it, making sure he could safely replace the ODN cables. Hyperspanner in hand, he inserted the new cables in their place and after a few key entries the familiar hum of power began as he reinitialized power to that section of the circuit. With a quick nod of approval, he checked his tricorder to see if that was all the furry critters had affected.

The tricorder indicated that Trinneer had successfully found and repaired the source of the problem. He was a hero!
