OOC: Hi all! Just a small side sim if anyone wants to hop in. This was supposed to come out a while ago however I’ll be moving houses shortly and I’ve had to put a hold on this. My posting speed may not be as quick as usual because of this, sorry in advance.IC:
Sickbay was eerily quiet with only the gentle mumble of the warp core and the trills of the computers to fill the room. Sometimes you’d hear people walking and talking as they passed by sickbay however little more than that.T’Saie, newly appointed as the Chief Medical Officer, could be found sat at the Nursing Station alone with a table of tricorders laid out perfectly next to her, although some were taken apart it was evident she was repairing and re-calibrating them, finding at least some use for her engineering extension course…

Dael made his way down the Challenger’s corridors clutching his hand. It was supposed to be an easy simulation he made to help train his team, but admittedly he had gotten a little caught up in the making of the program. So much so he had forgotten that “Simulation Beta Nine” of his various scenarios was the one he had turned the holodeck safeties off when he ran a test run. The gash on his arm and burnt skin on his hand would serve as a reminder to double check before adding a “plasma breach” option to any program.
Walking in he looked around, as well as felt for the thoughts of any crew members around, second nature when you’re a Betazoid. Feeling nothing, he was surprised to think of an unmanned Sickbay, he called out as he walked around. “Hello? Anyone here tonight?”
He stepped further into the Sickbay and caught sight of the new Chief Medical Officer tinkering with some tricorders. Huh, didn’t expect her to be such fun he thought with complete sincerity. He noted her Vulcan heritage, explaining his lack of telepathic feeling earlier. With their intense mental blocks, his surface scans never registered them unless he knew to look for them. Giving a sheepish grin he gestured towards his arm.
“Evening, Lieutenant, if you give me a hand with this, I’ll be able to give you one with those.” He pointed with his injured hand to the tricorders, kicking himself when he realized how stupid that sounded out loud. The new rank and position hadn’t quite overcome years as a social inexpert yet.-Lt jg Dael Stadi, Chief Engineer
OOC: Hehe, I wasn’t joking when I said posting would be slow! I’m happy to continue this if you’d like ^-^

T’Saie coldly glared at the Chief Engineer for his.. interesting use of humour. “Of course, take a seat” she responded, gesturing to one of the biobeds.
As she then got up to move to the medicines cupboard for Kelotane and a dermal regenerator, she couldn’t help herself to ask: “How did you manage this? I’d assume either an accident in engineering or.. a holoprogramme..” she quipped, hinting to the fact that a surprising amount of injuries come from the holodecks.
