Madison walked down one of the many corridors of the U.S.S. Challenger in her brand new uniform and was holding her datapad in her right hand. Her medium length blonde hair was tied in a bun neatly to maintain her professionalism while on duty. She had just beamed up from the Academy to begin the first assignment of her Starfleet career. During her walk she smiled and acknowledged the various personnel that she passed by on the way to her destination. Her blue eyes glanced at the numbers on the various doors in an effort to find Lieutenant Barr’s office. Shortly afterward she arrived at Lieutenant Barr’s office, the doors opened, and she made her way inside. After entering, she pivoted off of her back heel and faced her new department head. Madison maintained good posture and smiled at the Lieutenant. “Lieutenant Barr. Cadet Marsh. I have been assigned by Starfleet Academy to the U.S.S. Challenger. Here is my personnel file and orders from the Academy.” She hands her datapad to Lieutenant Barr for her to review. The information on the datapad indicated her assignment, basic information, and educational history.

Alison looked up from where she had been tending to the succulents that were on the side table of her office. “Well welcome aboard Cadet,” she said straightening up and looking over at Madison.

Reaching out she took the offered PaDD and set it down on her desk. “I can take a look at that later, but take a seat and tell me about yourself, do you want a cup of coffee?” Pointing to one of the chairs in front of her desk, Alison headed over to the small replicator in the corner of her office as she waited to hear from Madison.

Lt Barr - CSO

Maddie takes a quick glance at the succulents and a brief memory of studying them in graduate school came back to her. She headed to the chair and took a seat as her new Department Head had instructed. Her eyes met Alison’s gaze. “Flat White, hot. Thank you.” Maddie’s had a friendly smile and her Australian accent was quite evident as she announced her order. “My name is Maddie Marsh. I’m originally from Queensland, Australia. I completed my Ph.D. in Genetics at Stanford University this past year. I also have two Masters degrees in Astrophysics and Exobiology. I look forward to learning all that I can as I embark on my journey here on the Challenger. Starfleet has supported my education for a decade and I plan to serve for at least the same duration of time in return as agreed with the Academy. When I am not teaching or researching I enjoy exercise, traveling, cooking, reading, music, and various sports. How about you Lieutenant?” She tilts her head just slightly and clasps her hands together while she awaits Alison’s response along with her drink order.
