Carmen made her way through the white halls of the USS Challenger down to Medical easy enough. She had memorized as much of the lay-out of the ship as she could after receiving her assignment, as she tended to get lost without directions. She was glad she did so, for she was able to arrive without any problems. I’ll take that as a win. she thought to herself.
She took a deep breath as she stood outside of the Chief Medical Officer’s office, before giving two quick taps on the door. Everything was going to be fine.

OOC: Hi there! Good first post, don’t worry too much about getting it right the first few times, it’ll start coming naturally to you. Good use of description around your characters feelings as well as well. Don’t forget to take a look around the other posts in Challenger to get a good idea on the style of writing.

IC: Sickbay was rather quiet, T’Saie was sat in the Chief Medical Officer’s office mulling over some patient reports when the door to her office trilled. “Enter!” she called out loudly but sharply, ensuring the person outside could hear.

Carmen carefully opened the door and stepped inside the office, her eyes flicking around room. She crossed the short distance to her CMO’s desk, and stood in front of it, not quite standing at attention, but pretty close. She hadn’t heard much about T’Saie, but the little she had heard were positive remarks. Carmen liked Vulcans, too- it was nice to be around someone without being constantly blasted with their emotions.
“Ma’am? I’m Cadet Parker-Cawlyns, here to report for duty.”

ooc: wait how am i supposed to refer to T’Saie? She’s not a doctor, so i wouldn’t call her doctor… would i call her Lieutenant?
