After some time cruising back towards Sol the operations panel lit up there was an incoming priority communication for the captain from one Admiral Gregor Buress.

Kyle stood over the ops panel and watched as all of the text vanished to be replaced by a bright yellow message reading INCOMING HAIL, Kyle looked over to his Commanding Officer in the centre chair, “Captain,” he said, “We’re recieving a hail from an Admiral Buress.”

Emmy looked up from the report she was reading intently with a disgruntled look and gave the briefest of nods to the XO when he looked at her.

Eric looked over at Davis for the okay, and then turned over to Anders. “On screen, Lieutenant. Let’s see what the Admiral needs from us.”

Anders opened the channel then, placing his hands behind his back, watched the viewscreen intently.

Still disgruntled at having her time to collect her thoughts and organize routines on the ship for the next set of cadets interrupted, Emmy reluctantly put the report down and looked up at the view screen.

Admiral Buress popped up on the screen, hands folded in front of him. He wasn’t an imposing man, on the contrary he was short in stature and thin as a rail. One could even wonder how a man as him got into Starfleet to begin with, much less how he became a Flag Officer. His brown hair was rather unkempt and his eyes never really made direct eye contact with the camera, staring off in multiple directions. “Ah Captain!” he said cheerfully. “I hope I am not interrupting. I have a request of the Challenger. Do you know the Valakis system?”
