As she stepped off the transport shuttle from San Fransisco, Lanna couldn’t really truly take in the size of the USS Challenger, Holodecks do not do these things justice, she thought aloud. After asking one of the yeoman where she needed to go to report in, she made her way to the Security chief’s office. When she arrived at the door, she straightened the imaginary creases in her uniform and tapped the chime.

OOC: Cracking start, as you know, I’m Kieron, I’m your Chief of Security. Just a couple of tips to get you started. As you can see, I am currently writing out of character, if you want to do this, just type OOC (Out of Character), type your message and then type IC (In Character) when you want to start storytelling again. Another big tip is that if you want to write a thought as an internal monologue, use asterisks () as the HTML coding on the context box will italicise your text, Like this*, I also do it for communications or ship names. One last big thing to remember, we always sign off our posts, for example, I sign off like this:

Lieutenant Junior Grade Kyle Anders was pouring himself his third generous serving of Raktajino when he heard the sound of his door chime go off. He jogged back over to his desk, placed the mug down and had a quick scan of the PADD containing the next interviewee’s personnel file. Cadet Lanna, he thought, Ok lass, let’s see what you’ve got. “Come in,” he said to the door. As it slid aside, he smiled when he saw the rather nervous looking Cadet step over the threshold.
