Eric was sitting in the bridge’s command chair, on his command shift for the bridge. The ship was still on route to Earth, everything was proceeding with routine, and Eric was reviewing some of the ship logs to stay on top of how Challenger was doing.

As he finished one of his logs, he looked over at the bridge crew to make sure there was nothing unusual going on before returning to the logs…

Kyle Anders stood next to his XO, acting as second officer for this shift, he looked over to Commander Holmann and said: “All quiet on the western front, eh?”
