The slightly smaller frame of Emmy stepped out from behind Holmann. “Commander Holmann is no longer a suspect,” she responded to his confusion, tersely. She noted the diagnostic and refrained from pushing further on the CE, realizing that he needed more information from his own investigations before he could provide anything useful to her.

Davis, CO

Kyle swivelled and noticed the Captain standing behind Commander Holmann, “Captain on Deck!” Every officer dropped whatever they were doing and turned to face the CO, standing at attention.

-Cadet Kyle Anders: Security-

Sapeth inclined his head towards the Captain. “Understood Captain,” he said as he made a mental note of one of the Cadets on the far side of Engineering. The cadet who had dropped an eps relay in their exuberance, and was now going to require an additional 4 hours to do additional diagnostics to make sure the relay was not damaged.

IC: Dael looked down at the EPS relay he had dropped. ‘Margarine thumbs’, he thought he had heard humans call it, but he had been so focused on his work that the sudden rushing influx of thoughts from everyone throughout the room at the Captain and XO’s arrival and the shout from the security officer had startled him out of his concentration. He glanced down at the relay and it seemed to still be intact, but he knew the drop had added a good bit of work time to make sure nothing had been damaged. By the Four Deities, way to make a good impression Dael he thought as he picked the relay off the bulkhead and placed it on the nearby work counter. Snapping back to attention, he focused on the surface thoughts that had caused the startled rush into his mind, something about a crime and suspects, and the possible tampering of a tricorder and ships internal recordings. I really need to get out of the Jefferie’s Tubes more often he thought. Dael took in the scene at the far end of the deck with the senior officers and security cadet, noted the tricorder on the diagnostics table and was curious if he had anything to add to help whatever was happening on the ship. Focus Dael, the Captain is right there. You already dropped one thing today, let’s just try to stay at attention and not get ahead of ourselves

-Cadet Stadi, Engineering

As the diagnostic ran, Sapeth turned towards Cadet Stadi. “Cadet, once you have started the diagnostic routine on that relay, I require a moment of your time.”

While the Captain was hijacking an investigation, the Cadet’s querry came on screen showing the usual and known culprits. Mostly the security team and commander Holmann.

As for the tricorder, it appeared that the blood analyizer module had become cracked during some sort of accidental fall (OOC: Read GM’s incompetence). Nothing that a first year cadet couldn’t fix and nothing to indicate malfeasance.

There’s got to be a way of cracking this, Kyle thought to himself. Then it came to him, “Computer, transfer the footage from the these cameras to Holodeck Two. /=\Anders to Lieutenant Rainns, if you’re not busy I’d appreciate if you could meet me on Holodeck Two, I have an idea/=.“

As Sapeth’s team was busily moving around Engineering with their respective tasks, Eric felt he would only get in the way at this time. And he really did need to check in with Sickbay. He spoke up during the pause in the conversation between Davis and Sapeth. “Captain, I’m going to go by Sickbay and get checked out. Between the memory loss and the sedatives, I think I need to see what is going on…”

Emmy waved her hand dismissively at the overly attentive group of cadets. She narrowly resisted the urge to let out a huff at the clear disruption that her presence provided and nodded at Holmman. “I’ll accompany you, just to make sure that no one gets too concerned,” she commented, her tone bordering on slight snark, although her facial expression remained neutral. Her eyes did narrow slightly at the CE before gesturing for the XO to lead the way out of Engineering now that the tricorder had been dropped off.

“I expect a report shortly,” she instructed Sapeth.

“Excuse me Captain, I have a report,” Sapeth said before the Captain had taken more then a couple of steps. He raised an eyebrow at the inevitable response. “You did say you expected a report shortly Captain.”
