“I had a roommate when I first joined the Challenger, Ashlyn Trenton. She kinda struggled with being social though, she seemed nice enough. I briefly met T’Mor in here once, but other than that, so far, just you.”

His plate clear, Riley set down his spoon, grabbing the napkin in his right hand and rolling the fabric between his thumb and forefinger. He played with it a few moments. “Have you had the chance to meet the captain, or the first officer?”

Kyle nodded, “Briefly, but only in passing, you?”

(OOC: I’m guessing this is taking place before the main sim then? Lol)

Riley’s mouth flattened to a thin line, and he shook his head, still playing with the napkin. “Nope,” he replied, not looking up.

He didn’t know why he had asked the question. It was stupid to bring up the commander and potentially risk blurting out something he shouldn’t about the investigation. He continued to rub the napkin before finally tossing it onto his plate. “I should head back to my quarters, get some rest. It’s been a long day.” As if on cue, he yawned, then laughed. “See? It was a pleasure meeting you Kyle.” He extended his hand across the table to the security officer.
