Commanding Officer: Steve Johnson

How is your ship looking overall? Overall the Challenger looked great in August. We wrapped up our simm and graduated 3 cadets! I wish the three of them the best of luck in the club!

I also need to take a second to recognize Lindsay B, our outgoing GM. She has done a marvelous job over the years as our GM, and we are certainly going to miss having her!

But on that note, I would like to welcome Ryan Williams as our new GM. I look forward to getting our next new simm going!

What was your favorite moment/post on the ship this month (include a link if possible!)? Graduation has got to be a favorite! Always nice to wrap up a simm and welcome some new players to the main fleet.

Name one thing you want to improve on the ship for next month.Posting as always, but it should hopefully help as we have Ryan joining us with a brand new simm that should be starting soon, plus a few new cadets!

How are the DHs doing? Are they all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?As of the day I submitted this report, most of our DHs were active. Over the past few months, there has been excellent engagement from the DHs with the cadets aboard the ship. We also had four Academy graduates this past month. Great job, everyone!

How are the JOs doing? Are the all active and participating, both in the main sim and in any side sims?We’ve seen an increase in new cadets joining the ship and submitting their first posts. With the guidance of the DHs, I believe this positive trend will continue.

Who is the shining star this month? I’d like to recognize a few individuals: our Captain, played by S. Johnson; the CSO, played by Amdirgol S.; and our CMO, played by J. Ridgley. Their great guidance and leadership over the past month are a testament to why we had so many graduates this past month.

So far two of the main characters have been introduced as well as an incoming call from Admiral Martin.. we started two days ago waiting for a couple cadets.

I will normal push the sim if it does not move a day after the ships posting policy to keep the sim moving.

Who was the biggest contributor this month to driving the sim forward? Me it just started so know one has posted yet. :)

FComm’s Comments: Challenger was busy this last month. Three new graduates to the main fleet, and already filling up on new cadets. Linds finished out an exciting sim and is taking a much deserved break. Ryan is stepping in as the new GM, so things will be getting underway there rather quickly.

Wow what a first month as Academy Commandant! Three graduates, a new GM, an active roster, and even some departments that are full with brand new cadets.

Christopher Logan will be joining us as the Vice Commandant! Welcome aboard Christopher! Everyone please be on the lookout for upcoming discussions at the Academy about the mentorship and department course programs. We are looking for new mentors and course tutors as well as looking at how and if we need to improve these programs.
