Hey All,

So we are about to kick off round of discussions about different courses. We’re going to start with the security course and we’ll play it by ear for now about a schedule for the rest. I’ll admit, it’s been a long time since I’ve had talks about the courses (beyond the informal course tutor to commandant type of chats), so I really don’t want to commit to a schedule yet until I have feel for how much interest there is and how much chatter we’re going to have.

So I’ve taken a google drive copy of the course Cale has graciously written. It is read only, just to avoid a lot changes that we lose track of.

Hey all! My name is James Sinclair and I am the tutor for the club’s security course. Quick bit about me: I’ve been in the club for almost six years. I am the CO of rhe Manhattan, the only ship in the club in the Delta Quadrant; and the Governor of Oed V, the club’s planet-based RP area. I have played many roles on many ships, but security is absolutely my favorite.

The course that is presented is our attempt to give new members and established members new to security roles an broad overview of what it takes to be not only a security officer; but what it takes to play one with depth and the ability to engage with others.

I am happy to answer any questions you may have about the exam itself, the role of security, or anything else you may want to ask!
